L'impiego del cartone ondulato per la realizzazione di mobili può ovviamente creare, a prima vista, parecchie perplessità sia nell'ottica di un risultato estetico che funzionale. Questo prodotto nasce nell'obiettivo di ricreare la migliore riproduzione estetica e strutturale del legno-massello. Nella foto e’ rappresentato un mobile di cm. 68x34x85 composto da una robusta struttura interna di cartone ondulato ed una esterna stampata. Il legno riprodotto è ciliegio, l'oggetto è composto da singoli pannelli montabili e smontabili mediante cerniere e tasselli d’assemblaggio. Sulla base di questo criterio costruttivo, si possono riprodurre oggetti specifici con varie destinazioni d’uso, di arredamento o di esposizione.
The use of corrugated cardboard to create furniture may obviously arouse some perplexity, at a first glance, with respect to the aesthetic and functional outcome. This product starts with the purpose to achieve the best aesthetic and structural reproduction of massive wood. The picture shows a 68x34x85-cm piece of furniture, made up of a strong inner corrugated-cardboard frame and an outer moulded one. The reproduced wood is cherry, the object is made up of individual panels that may be assembled and disassembled by means of joints and plugs.
This building principle may be the foundation for specific objects with varying usage purposes, including furnishing or display.
